Artist Statement 

When I go to my studio to paint I have various sizes of canvases around me.All of them are being worked on,depending on what stage the painting is in.My paintings have three different "looks" to them.I use different mediums,canvases,and tools to do them.Mostly oil on canvases,yet I also paint on wood with oil and wax.I try to convey the same "moving in and out"feeling in all three types of my paintings.I fall into the abstract representation/abstract expressionist group. Lately my previous pallet knife,impasto painting have more layering of paint to them. I am fascinated with light and how it travels,along with creating movement on a flat surface.All my paintings are a push into fantasy rather staying in the reality.
